Rear Suspension – 2023

258,408 Miles

Performed: March 30, 2023

The ride hasn’t softened a bit with the OME 906s and Bilstein 5100s. Time to try something new. Got some new rear Tokico’s from Leon at Spiker Engineering and ordered ’99 Talls for all for corners and Tokico’s for the front from Village Toyota in Florida.

Fist attempt fell apart when I discovered the Tokico’s didn’t come with bushings. I really should’ve checked before I got out any fuckin’ tools.

The ’99 Talls arrived today so I figured I’d get the rear done.

  • OME 906s on Right
  • OME 906s
  • ’99 Talls

The ’99s were a lot taller than the OME 906s but they eventually went in. Time for the Tokicos.

Thought I had the right retainers but they would only slide halfway down the shaft. Hoping they came with the Bilsteins and the parts I ordered today will fix this problem.

For now I’ll have to live with the ’99 Talls and 5100s in the rear.

Edit: April 3, 2023

Bought 6 new retainers, 3 per side and 2 bushings per side according to parts detail on Partsouq. $55 well spent.
