Heater Control Valve

258,883 Miles

Performed: April 29, 2023

This is one of those things I’d been planning on doing but hadn’t given it much thought. I gave it so little thought that when I ordered the valve from PartSouq along with the new air intake, I only bought two of the related hoses. Why the hell would I only replace 2 hoses when there 9 available? For what it’s worth, I ordered the 2 hoses on either side of the valve and 2 clamps to replace the weird factory clamps. I was actually going to reuse the constant tension clamps. Talk about character defects…

As usual, I came to realize my poor judgment while reading HCV replacement posts on T4R.org.

After verifying this parts list, I made another order for 7 hoses and 16 clamps.

That order took another week and it arrived last night.

Looking at it now makes me wonder why it took me so long.
